About the position

As an Assistant Store Manager at Extra Space Storage, you will play a crucial role in the management of one of our self-storage facilities. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, meeting sales goals, and maintaining the facility to ensure a welcoming environment for our customers. The role requires a proactive approach to guiding new customers through the rental process and ensuring that all operational tasks are completed efficiently. Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Meet sales goals through unit rentals, unit insurance, and moving supplies.
  • Guide new customers through rental processes and agreements.
  • Maintain facilities - sweeping, mopping, changing light bulbs, etc.
  • Work independently on daily tasks as well as cooperate with team members.
  • May be required to run errands for the facility and travel to other store locations.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of customer-facing employment experience.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Current, valid driver's license with access to a reliable personal vehicle (except in NYC).
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales, customer service, retail, hospitality, or property management roles.
