About the position
This position is for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at a 140-bed facility in Quakertown, PA. The role offers a flexible work schedule, allowing nurses to choose when, where, and how often they work. ShiftMed provides a platform for LPNs to connect with healthcare facilities for various employment types, including per diem and long-term positions. The LPN will deliver safe and compassionate care to diverse patient populations in various healthcare settings.
Responsibilities
- Admitting, discharging, and transferring patients.
- Taking and reporting patient vital signs.
- Administering medications as ordered and reporting adverse reactions.
- Dressing patient wounds and collecting blood and urine samples.
- Communicating effectively with patients and family members.
- Providing timely documentation that's accurate and organized.
- Restocking supplies, medications, and equipment.
- Collaborating as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
- Active LPN license from the state in which you plan to work.
- Minimum 6 months of LPN work experience.
- CPR certification.
- Physical stamina to handle long hours of standing and walking.
- Ability to push, pull, support, and lift a minimum of 80 pounds.
- Annual physical and negative TB test results.
- COVID-19 Vaccination.
