About the position
The Rental Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance service requests, preparing market-ready units, and ensuring the upkeep of community grounds and facilities. This role requires troubleshooting and repairing various mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry issues while maintaining a high level of customer service and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance service requests.
- Assist in the preparation of market-ready units, including trash removal from vacant apartments.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, glazier, and electrical problems.
- Responsible for the upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, and common areas.
- Handle all aspects of the property's maintenance, including inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Complete daily work orders efficiently and communicate any delays to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records for preventative maintenance and service requests.
- Respond to after-hours on-call emergencies.
- Stay current on building codes and safety standards.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of plumbing.
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation for on-call emergencies.
- Minimum high school education or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in general maintenance.
- Valid driver's license with 3 years of good driving history.
