About the position

As a Systems Administrator at ISPA Technology, you will play a crucial role in supporting advanced Navy technology that is essential for modern-day warfighters. This position is based in Panama City Beach, FL, and requires a strong background in LINUX systems administration. You will be part of a dynamic team that thrives in a fast-paced environment where your technical expertise directly impacts national security. Your responsibilities will include maintaining and troubleshooting Navy systems, with a particular focus on LINUX environments. You will perform system maintenance tasks such as diagnostics, patching, scanning, and configuration on LINUX systems. Additionally, you will assist with data cabling, data labeling, and lab hardware installations, while also identifying and resolving technical issues related to LINUX systems and reporting your findings. The ideal candidate for this position will have over five years of experience supporting IT/IS systems in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment, along with a Secret security clearance. You should possess proven expertise in LINUX administration and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in Active Directory environments. A solid understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, DHCP, and various protocols, is essential. You will also need to demonstrate expertise in Powershell and Python scripting, as well as experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Windows Server administration (2008+). Familiarity with server hardware installation, repair, and maintenance, as well as experience with remote hardware diagnostics tools, is also required. Knowledge of centralized patching and configuration solutions will be beneficial, and experience with data cabling, SANs, SQL Server, IIS, and certificate management is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and troubleshoot Navy systems with a focus on LINUX environments.
  • Perform system maintenance (diagnostics, patching, scanning, configuration) on LINUX systems.
  • Assist with data cabling, data labeling, and lab hardware installations.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues related to LINUX systems and report findings.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience supporting IT/IS systems in a DoD environment (Secret clearance required) with proven expertise in LINUX administration.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues in Active Directory environments.
  • In-depth understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, Email, protocols).
  • Expertise in Powershell & Python scripting.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server administration (2008+), AND Linux administration is a requirement.
  • Familiarity with server hardware, installation, repair, and maintenance.
  • Experience with remote hardware diagnostics tools (OpenManage, iDRAC, iLO).
  • Knowledge of centralized patching and configuration solutions (WSUS, System Center).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with data cabling, SANs (Dell EqualLogic, Isilon), SQL Server, IIS, and certificate management.
