About the position
As an Order Picker at Aerotek, your primary responsibility will be to pick parts from the warehouse to support the production floor. This role is crucial in ensuring that the assembly process continues seamlessly, as you will navigate the warehouse primarily on foot to locate and retrieve the required parts. You will utilize carts, forklifts, or tuggers to transport these parts to the production floor, playing a vital role in the efficiency of the production team. In addition to picking parts, you will also assist with inventory checks and replenishments, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and that the production team has the necessary materials to work effectively. Safety is paramount in this role, and you will be required to operate a pallet jack safely. Training and certification for stand-up forklift operation will be provided, allowing you to expand your skill set and contribute more effectively to the team. This position requires a significant amount of physical activity, including walking up to 5 miles or 10,000 steps per day. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with two shifts available: the first shift runs from 7 am to 3:30 pm, and the second shift from 3 pm to 11 pm. Overtime is expected, with a requirement to work an additional two hours before or after your shift, depending on the schedule you choose. The pay for the first shift is $19 per hour, while the second shift offers $21.25 per hour.
