About the position

This vacancy is for a Registered Nurse (RN) at a facility in Minneapolis, MN, offering a flexible work schedule that allows nurses to choose when, where, and how often they want to work. ShiftMed is an approved provider of on-demand nurses for Hennepin Healthcare, connecting RNs with local healthcare facilities that require support on a per diem, short-term, long-term, or permanent basis. This role is ideal for those who are tired of mandatory overtime, weekends, and holidays, as it allows for a more controlled work-life balance. Registered nurses can work as little as 8 hours in one week and up to 40 hours in another, providing the flexibility to manage their schedules according to personal needs and preferences. As a ShiftMed RN, you will be responsible for delivering safe, competent, and compassionate care to diverse patient populations in various settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and rehabilitation centers. The role requires demonstrating clinical judgment within an evidence-based practice, collaborating with other healthcare staff to improve patient outcomes, and delivering care that meets the unique faith and cultural needs of patients. RNs are expected to apply problem-solving and critical thinking skills in all patient care situations, ensuring high standards of care are maintained. In addition to competitive pay, ShiftMed offers a suite of benefits designed to support both personal and professional growth. RNs can expect to receive health benefits after just one shift, including medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance options. The company also provides guaranteed income for shifts claimed, allowing nurses to receive payment even if a healthcare facility cancels or sends them home early. With the ShiftMed Instant Pay™ feature, RNs can access up to 75% of their pre-tax earnings immediately after completing a shift, enhancing financial flexibility.
