About the position
This is an independent contractor position for Snow Shovelers in Boston, MA, responsible for maintaining safe outdoor spaces during winter by clearing snow from walkways, driveways, and other areas. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in challenging weather conditions, ensuring safety for the community.
Responsibilities
- Clear snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots using shovels and snow blowers.
- Maintain safe and accessible pathways by applying ice melt or sand as necessary.
- Transport and spread salt at addresses requiring it, based on vehicle type.
- Work independently or with a team, depending on snowfall and job requirements.
Requirements
- Previous experience in snow removal or related outdoor maintenance roles is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong physical fitness to handle the demands of shoveling snow and performing manual labor tasks.
- Valid Driver's License is required.
