About the position
Aerotek is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Solar Laborers in Meeker, Colorado. This position offers a competitive pay rate of $25 per hour, with an additional $107 per diem for those living over 50 miles from the job site. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 4 pm, with opportunities for overtime on Saturdays. The project involves the construction of the electrical portion of a significant solar array, consisting of 175MW and 235,000 panels. Candidates will be engaged in various tasks, including but not limited to installing solar panels, assembling racking systems, torqueing bolts and nuts, managing wiring, installing inverters, trenching, bending conduits, staging materials, and performing other labor duties as required. This project is expected to last over a year, and candidates must be prepared to work 40+ hours per week in various weather conditions. To qualify for this role, candidates must pass a drug test, possess a valid driver's license, and demonstrate a strong work history. The ideal candidates will have the endurance and ability to work outdoors in varying elements. Responsibilities
- Assist in the construction of the electrical portion of a solar array.
- Install solar panels and assemble racking systems.
- Torque bolts, nuts, and fixtures as required.
- Manage wiring and string wire for the solar installation.
- Install inverters and perform trenching tasks.
- Bend conduits and stage materials for installation.
- Perform other labor duties as assigned.
Requirements
