About the position

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Spanish Teacher to join our team in Forest Park, IL. This full-time position requires a valid Illinois teaching license with a Spanish endorsement. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1+ years of teaching experience and a strong proficiency in both written and spoken Spanish. The Spanish Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive Spanish language curriculum tailored to various grade levels. This role involves creating engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students, focusing on practical language use and cultural understanding. In this position, the Spanish Teacher will teach essential language skills, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing, while assessing and evaluating student progress. Providing constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their language goals is a key responsibility. The teacher will foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for learning. Collaboration with other educators to integrate Spanish language and culture into broader educational activities and projects is also expected. Regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any areas of concern is essential. The Spanish Teacher will stay current with best practices in language instruction and actively participate in professional development opportunities to enhance their teaching skills and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Experience teaching Spanish at the K-12 level preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
