About the position
Aerotek is seeking several Warehouse Workers to join a fast-growing company in Carol Stream, Illinois. This position is primarily focused on the Shipping Department, where the successful candidates will be responsible for various tasks related to the handling of freight. The role involves loading and unloading incoming freight according to the shipping manifest, ensuring that all items are stored efficiently, and occasionally operating reach trucks and forklifts. Experience with UPS and FedEx is crucial for this position, as it involves verifying package quantities and managing shipping logistics effectively. The typical work schedule for this position is the second shift, starting at 1:30 PM and ending at 10:00 PM. New hires will undergo a training period lasting two weeks, during which they will work from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM. This training is designed to equip employees with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively in the warehouse environment. In addition to the core responsibilities, candidates will also be expected to assemble kitting pallets and carts, which requires attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is also a requirement, as it may be used for tracking inventory and managing shipping data. This position offers a competitive pay rate starting at $17.50 per hour, with opportunities for long-term employment in a supportive and dynamic work environment.
