About the position

The Histotechnologist position at Sonic Anatomic Pathology involves performing critical tasks in the patient care process, including embedding and preparing slides for routine and special stain procedures. Responsibilities

• Perform embedding and preparation of slides for routine H & E and special stain procedures.
• Document scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Recognize and troubleshoot issues in processing, embedding, cutting, and staining.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control in the laboratory.

Requirements

• State of Florida licensed Technician or Technologist.
• 2+ years of laboratory training or experience in a high volume laboratory with documented special stain and immunohistochemistry experience.
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including telephones, computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, manual and automated pipettes, and audible alarms.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a high volume laboratory setting.
• Knowledge of immunohistochemistry techniques.
