About the position

Directs HIV Prevention and Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) programs. Plans and assists to develop and implement related policies and procedures. Oversees contract with local Community-Based Organizations (CBOs). Directs subordinate managers and staff. This position works to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties.

Responsibilities

• Assures that community health care services are adequate, appropriate, and accessible
• Coordinates with other Metro Atlanta EHE jurisdictions to strategically plan EHE initiatives
• Develops long and short-term goals for HIV prevention services and participates in strategic and operational planning of HIV prevention services

Requirements

• Doctorate degree in a related filed from an accredited college or university AND Three years of management/supervisory experience in health care services
• OR Master's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Four years of management/supervisory experience in health care services
• OR Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Five years of management/supervisory experience in health care services
• OR Two years of experience at the lower level Mgr 3, Hlth Care (HCM012) or position equivalent
• Note: Some positions may require certification and/or licensure.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in HIV prevention and biomedical interventions
