About the position

The HIV Peer Navigation Program Coordinator will oversee Washington State's HIV Peer Navigation Program, which is essential for connecting individuals living with HIV to healthcare and supportive services. This role emphasizes a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach, fostering relationships and enhancing service provider capacity to improve the health and well-being of those affected by HIV.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the HIV Peer Navigation Program as the primary contact for statewide programs.
• Ensure the sharing of information and updates, support program guidelines, and coordinate trainings and meetings.
• Conduct monthly desk audits and annual site visits to monitor compliance with National Monitoring Standards.
• Evaluate service quality, prepare reports, and recommend improvements for programmatic issues.
• Provide ongoing training and technical support on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and trauma-informed approaches.

Requirements

• Three years of experience in a health services program and one year of experience providing peer support services or direct client-level services.
• Experience providing technical assistance in person, by phone, and computer; familiarity with HIV services in Washington State.
• A bachelor's degree or higher in public health, health care administration, psychology, social work, or a related field, along with two years of relevant experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Three years of experience working within the HIV system of care or prevention.
• Experience providing or administering HIV care or prevention services at the state or local level.
• Experience helping others apply for medication assistance programs.
• Knowledge of HRSA and CDC care and prevention guidelines and Washington State laws governing HIV services.
• Bilingual in Spanish.
