About The Position

The HME Technician at Med Emporium, LLC is responsible for the handling and delivery of medical equipment and supplies, ensuring that all operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the warehouse and delivery vehicles, as well as providing exceptional customer service to clients and patients. The technician will also be involved in inventory management and troubleshooting equipment issues as needed.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the last 5 years.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of 2 years delivery experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Effective interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in automotive diagnostics.

Responsibilities

  • Receives and documents medical supplies/equipment deliveries.
  • Verifies all incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.
  • Loads, unloads products, medical supplies/equipment, and stocks shelves as necessary.
  • Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials, packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
  • Packs, secures, and maintains medical equipment and supplies.
  • Maintains assigned company delivery vehicle by completing preventative maintenance and arranging for repairs.
  • Delivers, sets up, and maintains equipment at the delivery address.
  • Completes all necessary delivery forms and paperwork including invoices, work orders, manifests, and logs.
  • Develops and maintains working knowledge of current products and services offered by the company and applicable regulations.
  • Delivers equipment and oxygen in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Assists with company inventory periodically.
  • Performs other general warehouse duties as needed.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Preserves a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat.
  • Represents the Company in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with clients/patients.
  • Maintains equipment per manufacturer's guidelines as directed.
  • Assists in resolving client equipment problems when appropriate.
  • Assumes on-call responsibilities in accordance with Company policy.
  • Reports equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required.
