About the position

The HNW Tax Director (Partner Track) position at CyberCoders is a senior-level role focused on providing high-touch tax services to high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) and their trusts. The role involves overseeing tax compliance and planning, ensuring optimized tax strategies while maintaining compliance with relevant tax laws. This position is consultative and client-facing, with an expectation for the candidate to grow into a Partner role within a year.

Responsibilities

• Lead tax planning and compliance for individual, gift, pass-through entities, and estate taxes for high-net-worth clients.
• Manage trust and estate tax matters, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
• Develop and implement tax strategies for pass-through entities to minimize tax liabilities.
• Act as a primary client liaison, providing exceptional client service and building strong relationships.
• Stay updated on tax law changes and assess the impact on clients' tax strategies.
• Review and approve tax returns and related documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Mentor and develop junior staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 10+ years of tax experience in a public accounting firm, with at least 5 years in a management position.
• HNW tax expertise, including individual, estate, gift, trust, and pass-through entity experience.
• Must be comfortable being extremely client-facing for ultra HNWI clients.
• Ambition to become Partner within the next year or so.
• Licensed CPA required or J.D., LL.M, or EA required.
