About the position

The Compliance Driver for Homeowner Associations at Spectrum Association Management is a full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to work primarily outside the office while ensuring community compliance. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy driving and are detail-oriented, consistent, and dependable. The Compliance Driver will spend approximately 90% of their workday driving through neighborhoods in the Corpus Christi to Rockport area, inspecting homes for compliance with community standards. The position requires the use of a personal vehicle, with mileage reimbursement provided. In this role, you will be responsible for making notations of non-compliant homeowners and may need to assist frustrated homeowners by de-escalating conflicts and resolving issues. Training will be provided to help you effectively manage these interactions. The Compliance Driver will also be expected to improve service by recommending better processes and identifying new product and service applications. Additionally, you will respond to customer inquiries by understanding their needs, researching previous inquiries, and providing clear and professional communication. Continuous learning is encouraged, and you will have opportunities to participate in educational programs to enhance your knowledge of the industry and the governing documents of each homeowner's association. Some walking may be required in certain communities, adding variety to your daily tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Drive to various communities to inspect homes for compliance with homeowner association rules.
  • Make notations of non-compliant homeowners during inspections.
  • Assist homeowners in resolving compliance-related issues and de-escalate conflicts when necessary.
  • Recommend improved processes and identify new product and service applications to enhance service.
  • Respond to customer inquiries by researching and providing accurate information.
  • Participate in educational opportunities to increase job knowledge and understand governing documents of homeowner associations.
  • Perform some walking requirements in certain communities.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
  • Safe driving record is required.
  • Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to enter data into databases and iPads.
  • Proven skills in conflict resolution and customer service.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-service minded with the ability to maintain a calm demeanor during interactions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in customer service or conflict resolution is a plus.
  • Familiarity with homeowner association regulations is beneficial.
