The position is ideal for candidates from diverse backgrounds, including retail, hospitality, and administrative roles, who possess at least ten years of professional experience where proactive decision-making is essential. As a Community Manager, you will serve as the primary liaison between homeowners, the HOA's board of directors, and vendors. This multifaceted role requires a strong commitment to customer service, effective communication, and the ability to manage a portfolio of communities. Daily responsibilities include engaging with community members, managing vendor relationships, preparing budgets, and ensuring compliance with legal and insurance matters. The position also involves facilitating board meetings and handling after-hours emergencies, making it essential for candidates to be organized, accountable, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Engage with board members and homeowners in your community.
  • Manage daily, weekly, and monthly tasks for a portfolio of associations.
  • Plan for and facilitate association board meetings and annual meetings.
  • Manage vendor relations, including the bidding and project management process.
  • Consult with other departments in support of your communities.
  • Handle risk management, insurance, and litigation support.
  • Prepare budgets and manage the finances of the associations.
  • Be available for after-hour emergencies.
  • Implement the Same Day Response Policy.

Requirements

  • At least ten (10+) years of professional work or related experience.
  • High-level organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience and knowledge of Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong customer-friendly and informative communication skills.
  • Some experience and knowledge of financial statements and budgets.
  • Comfortable with public speaking in small and large meetings.
  • Great conflict management skills in sometimes stressful situations.
  • Experience with gathering bids for large projects and management of those projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in customer service roles.
  • Background in retail, restaurants, hospitality, or administrative positions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
