About the position

Hollander Design is seeking a Landscape Architect/Designer with 2-4 years of experience to join our dynamic and growing design firm. Our projects span a wide range of scales, focusing on private residences, urban rooftops, parks, campuses, historic landscapes, and luxury real estate development. In this role, you will work closely with a small team on diverse project types, engaging in hands-on tasks that include physically sketching, computer rendering, and fieldwork for construction administration. As a Landscape Architect/Designer, you will manage or contribute to complex projects from schematic design through construction documentation and implementation. We are looking for someone who is highly organized, possesses strong communication skills, and can handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced studio environment. Strong technical skills in grading and construction details, along with proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3-D rendering programs like Lumion and Rhino, are essential for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Manage or contribute to complex landscape architecture projects from schematic design through construction documentation and implementation.
  • Engage in hands-on work including sketching, computer rendering, and fieldwork for construction administration.
  • Collaborate with a small team on a wide range of project types, ensuring innovative and thoughtful design solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients, providing updates and feedback throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Utilize strong technical skills to create grading and construction details that meet project specifications.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in landscape architecture or a related field.
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited landscape architecture program.
  • Experience in managing or contributing to complex projects from schematic design through construction documentation and implementation.
  • Experience in high-end, single-family residential design, urban private rooftops, or small-scale commercial development.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced studio environment.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD v2013, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong technical skills in grading and construction details.
  • Experience with Lumion, Rhino, or other 3-D rendering programs.
  • Strong hand rendering and digital graphic skills.
