Hollander Design Landscape Architects is seeking a talented landscape architect or landscape designer with over 4 years of professional experience to join our Residential Studio in New York City. As a nationally recognized and growing AD100 design firm, we are involved in a variety of exciting projects ranging from private residences to urban rooftops, parks, campuses, historic landscapes, and luxury real estate developments. Our firm prides itself on creating best-in-class landscape architecture that responds thoughtfully to the site's ecology, architectural ecology, and human ecology. We believe in a family-first work environment that balances life with work, and we are committed to excellence in our designs, which brings us joy and satisfaction. In this role, you will work closely with a small team on a diverse array of project types. We are looking for candidates who are not only skilled in landscape architecture but also enthusiastic about hands-on work, including physically sketching and computer rendering. You will have the opportunity to engage in fieldwork for construction administration and plant material placement. Our firm fosters a culture of continuous learning, offering regular continuing education opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced and rigorous design process, contributing to complex projects from schematic design through construction documentation and implementation. You will be expected to deliver outstanding built work with a high level of detailing, showcasing your strong technical skills in grading and construction details. We value strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic studio environment. Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, and Microsoft Office Suite is essential, along with experience in 3-D rendering programs like Lumion and Rhino. A degree from an accredited landscape architecture program is required, and a working knowledge of plant material and professional licensure are preferred.
