About the position

Hollander Design Landscape Architects is seeking a Senior Landscape Architect/Landscape Designer to join our Residential Studio in New York. This position is ideal for a candidate with 8-10 years of professional experience in landscape architecture. As a nationally recognized and growing AD100 design firm, we work on a diverse range of projects, from private residences to urban rooftops and luxury real estate developments. Our approach to design is centered around three ecologies: the site's ecology, the architectural ecology, and the human ecology. We pride ourselves on creating thoughtful and innovative design solutions that respond to these elements, ensuring that our work is not only aesthetically pleasing but also environmentally responsible. In this role, you will be an effective leader within a small team, managing a variety of project types. You will be involved in all aspects of the design process, from schematic design through construction documentation and implementation. The position requires a hands-on approach, including physically sketching and fieldwork for construction administration. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to continuous learning and professional development. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and contribute to a family-first work environment that values work-life balance. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, be highly organized, and have the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. You will work directly with clients and coordinate deliverables with contractors and consultants, ensuring that projects are completed to the highest standards. Your technical skills will be essential, particularly in grading and construction details, as well as proficiency in various design software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3-D rendering programs like Lumion and Rhino.
