About the position
ForceAV is seeking a motivated and experienced Home Automation Field Audio Visual Technician to join our installation team in West Palm Beach, FL. This role focuses on the installation, troubleshooting, and programming of residential audio and video systems, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will work independently, demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, and effectively communicate with team members and clients.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure residential audio/video systems and home automation equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose system issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Terminate Cat 5/6 cables and set up distributed audio and camera systems.
- Communicate effectively with team members, builders, and customers regarding project requirements and updates.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2-5 years of experience in audio/video installation.
- 2 years of programming experience in related fields.
- Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work in tight spaces such as attics.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with system troubleshooting and diagnostics.
- Familiarity with home theater installations and computer systems.
- Reliable transportation and ability to work independently.
