About the position

The Home Automation Technician role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing automation systems, primarily focusing on Control 4 programming. This position is essential for ensuring that automation systems are properly calibrated and functioning, providing technical support and leadership for various automation projects, with a significant portion of the work being residential in nature.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing automation systems, focusing on Control 4 programming.
• Ensuring that systems are properly calibrated and functioning.
• Providing technical support and leadership for automation projects.
• Planning and laying out tasks from drawings or blueprints.
• Working on residential and occasional commercial projects.

Requirements

• 4+ years of programming and/or related experience required.
• Home/Commercial Tech Automation Experience (e.g., audio, video, monitors, surveillance or similar).
• Networking/Programming Experience.
• Diagnostic/troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Control4 Programming and System Integration Experience.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting required.
• Proficient in installing, maintaining, repairing, and testing a variety of systems.
• Experience in working in residential buildings.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics required.
