Responsibilities

• Planning and preparing meals, including those with dietary restrictions
• Performing housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, laundry, and changing bed linens
• Providing companionship and stimulation for the consumer, including reading and walks
• Accompanying the consumer to appointments as needed
• Grocery shopping and running other errands when approved
• Performing personal care for the consumer as needed
• Assisting with ambulation using mechanical aids such as walkers
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must complete the agency's employment process
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must exhibit maturity and responsible behavior
• Must understand consumer confidentiality
• Must be able to follow directions and work as a team
• Must have reliable transportation to and from assignments
• Must pass a drug screen
