About the position

The Home Care Agency is seeking a highly motivated Marketing Coordinator to join our fast-growing family-owned company. This position can be filled on a full-time, part-time, temporary, or contract basis, depending on the candidate's availability and preference. The ideal candidate will be responsible for external marketing efforts in the Home Health Care sector, focusing on building relationships and generating leads. The role requires a proactive individual who is reliable and excels at creating new contacts within the community. The Marketing Coordinator will be tasked with submitting weekly reports, tracking referral source development, and managing their own schedule effectively. This is a unique opportunity to grow with a family-focused company that values and rewards its employees. In this role, the Marketing Coordinator will identify and develop relationships with various referral sources, including hospitals, rehab facilities, assisted living facilities, physician offices, elderly law firms, hospices, and more. The candidate will meet with families and potential clients to explain the details of our services and recommend appropriate options. The ability to communicate effectively and build relationships is crucial, as the candidate will be actively sourcing new clients for our services. The position also requires meeting monthly referral submission and enrollment goals set by the President of the company. The Marketing Coordinator will report directly to the President and will be responsible for pre-planning weekly marketing activities and following through on them. The role involves traveling within the five counties we operate in and attending various events and locations daily. Candidates must have reliable transportation and a flexible schedule, with the ability to work some nights and weekends. The position also includes answering phone calls from potential clients and families, requiring polite and courteous phone manners, active listening skills, and a friendly attitude to convert inquiries into leads. Additionally, the candidate will assist in coordinating various marketing methods, including direct mail, ads, and networking, while maintaining confidentiality and keeping records of customer interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Submit weekly reports and track referral source development.
  • Obtain and close leads, run events, and manage own schedule.
  • Identify leads and new referral sources in hospitals, rehab facilities, assisted living facilities, and more.
  • Develop relationships with case managers, discharge planners, social workers, physicians, and other referral sources.
  • Meet with families and potential clients to explain services and recommend options.
  • Build and maintain a clientele base.
  • Meet monthly referral submission and enrollment goals set by the President.
  • Pre-plan weekly marketing activities and follow through.
  • Travel within the five counties of operation and attend various events.
  • Answer telephone calls and explain services to potential clients and families.
  • Assist in coordinating various marketing methods including direct mail, ads, and networking.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-year Home Care marketing experience preferred, but candidates with sales and marketing experience will be considered.
  • Existing contact and territorial knowledge of the local area (Somerset, Middlesex, Union, Essex, Morris, Passaic, Bergen County).
  • Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships.
  • Ability to handle cold calling and rejection well.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a flexible schedule.
