The Home Care Scheduler and Intake Coordinator at Visiting Angels Walnut Creek is a full-time role focused on coordinating caregiver schedules and processing intake information to ensure the needs of clients are met efficiently. Responsibilities

• Maintain schedule for services requested and provided to agency clients
• Assist with intake
• Assure that care needs are filled within established time frames
• Provide appropriate notification of schedule to caregivers, clients, supervisor, and others as appropriate
• Respond to emergency calls and arrange schedule accordingly
• Provide direction to caregivers and communicate as needed to assure safe and effective coverage of client needs
• Report any scheduling changes and/or client concerns; notify client of changes
• Verify time records with schedules
• Follow up with employee on scheduling problems encountered by the on-call staff
• Perform job in compliance with Agency policies and procedures
• Attend meetings and educational programs as required
• Accept responsibility for personal and professional development
• Perform other office and admin duties assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year of home care scheduling experience
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong computer skills
• Time management skills
• Ability to work in a home and community care environment
