Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a CDL Class A Driver. In this role, you will be responsible for loading and unloading products from dump trucks or flatbed trucks equipped with a Moffett. You will be capable of unloading multiple stop loads and ensuring the proper placement of materials at job sites. Your ability to identify different types and sizes of materials will be crucial in assisting customers and outside vendors with any issues, such as matching materials and quantities. Maintaining your assigned equipment in proper working condition and cleanliness is essential, as is understanding the daily maintenance check sheet and reporting any concerns to your supervisor. You will also be expected to perform other work-related duties as assigned to meet business needs. To succeed in this position, you must possess a CDL Class A License with at least 2 years of commercial driving experience, along with Moffett experience. The ability to drive both dump trucks and straight trucks with Moffett is required, as is previous flatbed and dump truck experience. A certificate of driving school training is necessary, and you must maintain an acceptable driving record throughout your employment, which will be monitored annually. Attention to detail, the ability to work in a team environment, and effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, are essential for this role. You will also need to complete all required paperwork for job site assignments and meet DOT federal regulations for certification annually. This position requires physical stamina, as you must be able to sit, bend, walk, and climb in and out of trucks and Moffett in an outdoor setting for up to 8 plus hours a day. While prior forklift experience is highly desirable, it is not mandatory.
