About the position
The Home Daily Class A Instructor role at Western Pacific Truck School is designed to shape the lives of upcoming truckers by providing essential training and instruction. The position involves teaching students the necessary skills to operate commercial vehicles safely and effectively, ensuring they are well-prepared for their DMV exams. Instructors will work closely with students from diverse backgrounds, fostering professionalism and aiding them in their journey towards gainful employment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct the practical portion of the Tractor Trailer Program
- Instruct and relay necessary information for successful pre & post trips in alignment with the DMV exam
- Show and teach students the skills needed to safely operate a commercial vehicle
- Instill professionalism in students to help them seek and obtain employment
- Communicate with Admissions Representative on student progress
- Communicate with management on daily tasks
- Keep track of attendance during practical training
- Update and complete the students training report (S.T.R.) daily
Requirements
- 3 years of commercial driving experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proof of right to work in the U.S.
- Valid commercial driver's license - Class A
- Experience in teaching (1 year preferred)
- Commercial driving experience (2 years preferred)
