The Home Depot Outside Sales Representative plays a crucial role in promoting and growing the Thomasville and other MasterBrand cabinet lines within Home Depot home improvement stores. This position is primarily focused on capturing market share from existing competitors by leveraging product and sales training, conducting competitive analysis, and utilizing computer design programs. The representative will be responsible for driving sales in the Chicago, IL area, specifically in St. Charles and Vernon Hills. For candidates who may not possess all the required skills, MasterBrand is willing to provide training in their business and product lines to ensure success in this role. The representative will be tasked with growing and maintaining MasterBrand sales within the designated territory, which involves building strong relationships with existing in-store designers and generating sales through these connections. Additionally, the role includes training and mentoring new Home Depot in-store designers, assisting them in closing sales, and managing regular sales visits to each store in the territory. This position requires frequent travel, including possible overnight stays, to effectively cover the entire territory. The representative will also be responsible for facilitating issue resolution for unsatisfied customers and receiving product in both new and existing stores, which may involve lifting items weighing up to 40 lbs. Other duties may be assigned at management's discretion, emphasizing the need for flexibility and adaptability in this role.
