About the position
The Home Designer position at Parry Custom Homes involves creating custom home designs in a fast-paced pre-construction and design office. The role focuses on translating customer ideas into functional home designs while adhering to building standards and budget constraints. The designer will work collaboratively within a proactive team environment, aiming to enhance efficiency and design quality.
Responsibilities
- Design custom homes from scratch based on customer requirements.
- Revise existing home designs to meet customer needs.
- Mark up prints with construction notes for clarity.
- Discuss pricing and options with customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Create 3D renderings and walkthroughs to visualize designs.
- Design construction details for the construction department.
Requirements
- Experience in AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Proficiency in Excel and similar software for tracking progress.
- Detail-oriented with a self-motivated work ethic.
- Ability to work collaboratively under the direction of an experienced manager.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Softplan (1 year preferred).
- Associate's degree in a relevant field (preferred).
