About the position
The Home Health Aide (HHA)/Caregiver position at Home Helpers involves providing compassionate care and assistance to clients in their homes. This role offers flexible scheduling options, allowing caregivers to choose their working hours, including evenings and weekends. The position emphasizes one-on-one patient care and aims to improve the quality of life for clients requiring assistance with daily living activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living and personal care such as bathing and dressing.
- Provide companionship care by visiting with clients, reading, or listening to music.
- Perform light housekeeping duties.
- Prepare meals for clients.
- Offer transportation and errand services.
- Complete other job duties as required depending on the client.
Requirements
- Patient care skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to provide home health assistance
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in caregiving or senior care (preferred but not required)
- Background in retail, customer service, or similar fields.
