About the position
The Home Health Aide (HHA)/Caregiver position at Home Helpers involves providing compassionate care and assistance to clients in their homes. The role offers flexible scheduling options, allowing caregivers to choose their working hours, making it ideal for those seeking a work-life balance. Caregivers will engage in one-on-one patient care, assisting with daily living activities and providing companionship to the elderly and those in need of recuperative care.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living and personal care such as bathing and dressing.
- Provide companionship care by visiting with clients, reading, or listening to music.
- Perform light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Prepare meals for clients.
- Offer transportation and errand services for clients.
- Complete other job duties as required depending on client needs.
Requirements
- Patient care skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Background in senior care or caregiving (preferred but not required)
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to provide home health assistance
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in caregiving or related fields such as retail, customer service, or medical assistance is a plus but not required.
