About the position

The Home Health Aide position at Cura Hospice is a vital role focused on providing compassionate care to patients in their homes. The aide will assist with personal care, follow care plans established by healthcare professionals, and ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients. Responsibilities

• Follows written instructions for patient care as prepared by an RN or Clinical Director in the hospice plan of care.
• Assists patients with personal care to preserve good personal hygiene while maintaining a healthful, safe environment.
• Performs simple procedures as an extension of therapy services, such as ambulation, ROM, and exercise.
• Reports changes in patients' condition and needs to supervisor or RN.
• Maintains record of services performed and of apparent condition of patient.
• Establishes and maintains a good working environment with the patient/family and co-workers of the Hospice.
• Participates in patient care conferences to provide input requiring continuum of patient care.
• Performs household services essential to health care at home.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)
• CPR Certification
• Driver's License
• Proof of current auto liability insurance
