About the position

As a Home Health Aide, you will provide compassionate care and support to individuals in their homes, assisting them with daily living activities to ensure their comfort and safety while promoting independence. Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Assist clients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety.
• Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to the healthcare team.
• Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with other healthcare professionals.
• Support clients with developmental disabilities by implementing individualized care plans.
• Follow established safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe environment for both clients and caregivers.

Requirements

• Previous experience in home health care or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of CPR and first aid techniques is essential.
• Familiarity with medication administration practices is required.
• Understanding of memory care techniques and strategies for working with individuals with cognitive impairments is beneficial.
• Ability to prepare meals that meet specific dietary needs.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
• Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
