About the position

The Home Health Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and managing the scheduling of field clinicians, including therapists, nurses, home health aides, and medical social workers. This role requires at least one year of administrative experience in home health care and involves various office activities, ensuring confidentiality, and maintaining professional communication. The position is full-time and offers a competitive hourly wage.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, update, and coordinate the scheduling of field clinicians including therapists, nurses, home health aides, and medical social workers.
  • Complete insurance authorizations as needed.
  • Conduct self in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Display a positive attitude and perseverance when challenged.
  • Perform daily office activities as needed.
  • Answer the telephone and receive messages in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Receive and submit faxed information and e-mail.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all protective health information.
  • Assist in the production and completion of requested documents including plans of care and other documents as requested.
  • Ensure all documents produced are grammatically correct and spelled correctly.
  • Ensure relevant office equipment is working and maintained.
  • Provide information by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning administrative projects; expediting work results.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Resolve administrative problems by coordinating preparation of reports, analyzing data, and identifying solutions.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of home health care administrative experience required.
  • Experience in schedule management is preferred.
  • Valid LVN license is required.
  • COTA certification is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Spanish speaking preferred.
  • Experience in intake is preferred.
  • Experience in skilled nursing and therapy scheduling is preferred.
