About the position
BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate Home Health Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide high-quality care to patients in their homes in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. This role involves evaluating and treating patients with speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties, ensuring they receive the best possible care in a comfortable environment. The position offers flexible scheduling options and emphasizes a commitment to patient dignity and independence.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough evaluations to assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions for clients experiencing speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties.
- Develop a treatment plan based on evaluations, physician's orders, and recommended goals.
- Continually assess and revise the speech therapy care plan in collaboration with other BAYADA clinicians.
- Educate and instruct patients, family members, or other representatives in rehabilitative care and activities necessary for promoting health and independent living.
- Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories.
Requirements
- A current license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- A minimum of one year of recent work experience as a Speech Therapist.
- Possess a certificate of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech and Hearing Association, or equivalent educational requirements and work experience necessary for such a certificate.
- Ability to travel to assigned cases.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, active listening skills, and excellent assessment skills.
