About the position

The Speech & Language Pathologist (SLP) at CVHCare Home Health is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and preventing speech, voice, swallowing, and related disorders. This role allows for a high degree of independence while providing essential services to patients in their homes. The SLP will utilize various techniques to assess impairments and help patients develop or recover communication skills, ensuring comprehensive care through participation in case conferences and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, voice, and swallowing disorders.
• Record and analyze speech, language, and swallowing irregularities.
• Help patients develop or recover reliable communication skills.
• Participate in case conferences and in-services to ensure coordinated care.
• Set own schedule while providing home health services.

Requirements

• Valid CA Speech Language Pathology (SLP) license in good standing.
• Reliable transportation and auto insurance.
• CPR/BLS Certification.
• Successful completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) under supervision of a licensed professional.
• Good computer skills and ability to complete EMR documentation in a timely manner.
• Must be able to attend one week of Orientation and Training.

Nice-to-haves

• Entry level candidates are welcome, no prior home health experience required.
• 1 year of SLP experience preferred.
• 1 year of home health experience preferred.
