Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations of patients' speech and language abilities.
  • Provide therapy and interventions to improve patients' communication skills.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulations.
  • Educate patients and their families on speech and language disorders and treatment options.
  • Utilize technology and EMR software for efficient charting and communication.
  • Drive to various patient locations as required, spending approximately 20% of the day on the road.

Requirements

  • Master's degree from a speech and hearing program certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association.
  • License and certification as a Speech Therapist issued by the state of practice.
  • Minimum of one year of healthcare experience.
  • Current driver's license and ability to drive to/from patient locations.
  • Strong time management skills to meet critical deadlines for charting.
  • Demonstrated experience with tablets, mobile phones, and EMR software.
