About the position
The Home Infusion Nurse (RN) at Accredo is responsible for delivering critical infusion drugs to patients in their homes while fostering meaningful relationships and providing comprehensive care. This role emphasizes patient empowerment, autonomy in administering treatments, and effective communication with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Travel to patient homes to administer IV infusion medications autonomously.
- Document all interactions and communication with patients, including assessments and treatments.
- Act as the single point of contact for regular updates on patient status to all clinicians.
- Collaborate with Pharmacists and Therapeutic Resource Center (TRC) to meet patient needs.
- Provide response management and follow-up care for patients.
- Empower patients to take ownership of their health and well-being.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the state of residence.
- BSN degree with 2+ years of relevant RN experience, or ASN degree with 5+ years, or Nursing Diploma with 8+ years of relevant RN experience.
- 1+ years as a specialty RN in a critical care, acute, or home healthcare environment.
- Strong IV insertion skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Willingness to travel within an assigned geographic area.
- Ability to work Monday-Friday, day shift, with occasional evening or weekend visits as needed.
- Flexibility to work alternate shifts on short notice and be on call for field visits.
