About the position
The Home Infusion Registered Nurse at Accredo is responsible for administering intravenous medications to patients in their homes, focusing on their overall well-being and building strong relationships. This role requires independent decision-making and the ability to manage patient care effectively, while also providing follow-up and documentation of patient interactions. The position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on patients' lives through dedicated care and support.
Responsibilities
- Administer IV infusion medications in patients' homes.
- Provide follow-up care and manage patient responses to ensure well-being.
- Document all interactions, including assessments, treatments, and progress.
- Serve as the main point of contact for updates on patient status.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and therapeutic resource centers to meet patients' needs.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice.
- 2+ years of RN experience.
- 1+ year of experience in critical care, acute care, or home healthcare.
- Strong skills in IV insertion.
- Valid driver's license.
- Willingness to travel within a designated area.
- Ability to conduct patient visits 2-3 weekdays per week, with some evening or weekend visits.
