About the position

The Home Interior Designer/Sales position at La-Z-Boy involves designing and creating comfortable and functional environments that reflect clients' lifestyles, tastes, and budgets. The role requires a professional Design Consultant to utilize the La-Z-Boy In-Home Design program, driving sales through effective selling principles and fostering long-term customer relationships. The position offers uncapped commission potential alongside a base salary and monthly bonuses, with a focus on both design and sales responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Schedule professional home consultations to present customized room designs.
• Execute and champion the In-Home Design process per company guidelines.
• Create grassroots opportunities to increase the overall performance of the In-Home Design Program.
• Accurately complete order information, collect deposits and fees, and maintain orderly customer records.
• Support design-related functions in the store and maintain an up-to-date customized portfolio.
• Drive sales to consistently achieve established In-Home program sales goals.
• Team with Store Manager and Sales Manager to promote the In-Home Design program.
• Maximize store promotions and marketing initiatives.
• Meet established goals as set by management.
• Set the highest standard for customer care and ensure a positive customer experience.
• Train, coach, and develop Design Associates on product knowledge and selling skills.
• Assist with the maintenance of the overall visual appearance of the store.
• Champion and role model the La-Z-Boy selling process.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in sales and customer service.
• Knowledge of interior design and color theory.
• Ability to lead and develop a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
