About the position

The Home Maintenance Professional at Mr. Handyman is responsible for completing small to medium maintenance and repair tasks for both residential and commercial projects. This role emphasizes exceptional customer service, effective communication, and the ability to self-manage while working independently. The position offers competitive pay, flexibility in scheduling, and the opportunity to create lasting relationships with customers through quality work and service.

Responsibilities

• Completing small to medium maintenance and repairs for home and commercial projects.
• Communicating with customers to help them understand their needs and manage expectations regarding the scope of work and costs.
• Delivering a great customer experience to create life-long repeat customers.
• Self-managing tasks while working independently.
• Collecting payment for completed work and requesting customer reviews.
• Documenting jobs while following the Mr. Handyman Way process.
• Wearing proper PPE and booties to protect customers' homes.

Requirements

• Must live within the area.
• 8+ years of experience as a paid handyman.
• Own necessary tools for the job.
• Must be insurable for driving the company vehicle.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds independently.
• Capable of safely working at heights and overhead for extended periods.
• Professional appearance and maintenance of the company-provided vehicle.
• Strong proficiency in at least three of the following areas: carpentry, bathroom improvements, kitchen improvements, painting, drywall work, general plumbing and electrical, floor installation and refurbishing.
