About the position
Member First Mortgage is seeking a Home Preservation Processor for our growing Servicing department located in Grand Rapids, MI. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are motivated by building relationships through exceptional customer service. The position involves processing loan packages, soliciting additional loan documents, and maintaining the pipeline, providing an excellent opportunity to learn and grow within the mortgage industry.
Responsibilities
- Work with members to obtain complete packages/applications for review.
- Process workout requests: workout evaluations, credit reports, asset reports, etc.
- Evaluate viable options by reviewing member financial information.
- Assign cases to the appropriate Home Preservation Specialist for further review.
- Assist as needed with outgoing calling campaigns to bring delinquent payments current.
- Prepare and send appropriate written notices to members.
- Establish and monitor repayment and forbearance arrangements.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- One to three years of similar or related experience
- Knowledge of mortgage servicing and/or processing functions
- Knowledge of personal finance and basic budgeting principles
- Ability to problem solve and research
- Strong relationship-building and customer service skills
- Ability to listen and communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Solid time management skills with the ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
