About the position

Right at Home Cleveland West is seeking dedicated and compassionate caregivers to join our team in the Western Suburbs of Cleveland. This position offers multiple caregiving opportunities for individuals who are caring, compassionate, and reliable. As a caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by providing companionship and assistance with daily activities. We believe in fostering a supportive environment for our caregivers, clients, and the community, ensuring open communication and a healthy work atmosphere. Our caregivers are the heart of our organization, and we are committed to serving them as they serve our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for providing companionship to clients, assisting them with ambulation, and preventing falls through safety supervision. You will also assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), which may include meal preparation, transportation to appointments, and light housekeeping tasks. Your contributions will help clients maintain their independence and dignity while ensuring their safety and well-being. We offer flexible scheduling, allowing you to set your own availability, and provide paid training and job shadowing to ensure you are well-prepared for your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship to clients
  • Assist clients with ambulation
  • Prevent client falls through safety and supervision
  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
  • Prep/cook meals for clients
  • Drive clients to doctor's appointments, errands, and activities
  • Perform light housekeeping duties
  • Help clients meet nutritional standards
  • Perform homemaking activities such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning bathrooms.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate
  • Six months experience as a Personal Care Assistant in healthcare (in homes or facilities)
  • Successful completion of state-approved Nurse Aide or Personal Care Assistant course
  • Current CPR Certificate is recommended
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile.
