About the position

The Homegoods & Floral Clerk is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in the Homegoods and Floral departments. This role involves greeting customers, assisting with product information, and ensuring that floral items are prepared and presented beautifully. The clerk will also maintain the quality of plants and flowers, create appealing displays, and support seasonal events and promotions.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers with a smile and provide personalized service in both Homegoods and Floral departments.
  • Assist customers with product information, floral arrangements, and special requests.
  • Wrap floral items securely for travel or delivery.
  • Establish relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
  • Unpack, clean, and re-cut flowers, and display plants.
  • Maintain and water plants, ensuring proper care and rotation.
  • Share product knowledge on floral care and handling with customers.
  • Assist in creating visually appealing displays for Homegoods products.
  • Maintain signage, pricing, and product rotation to ensure product quality.
  • Adhere to safety and cleanliness standards in both departments.
  • Notify Store Director or Floral Manager of any issues affecting customer service or store operations.
  • Assist with seasonal events, promotions, and in-store displays.
