About the position

The Homemaker cum Personal Care Assistant at Guardian Angel Senior Services is responsible for providing essential support to senior residents in their homes. This role focuses on assisting with daily living activities, ensuring the comfort and well-being of clients while promoting their independence and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Encourage clients to engage in activities that promote independence.
• Assist clients with range of motion (ROM) exercises.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Prepare meals for clients.
• Provide medication reminders to clients.
• Report any unusual incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergency situations.
• Serve as a pleasant and supportive companion to clients.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current state license for personal care assistance.
• Safe driving record with reliable transportation and car insurance.
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
