About the position

The Homemaker position at VITRA Health involves providing essential household services to clients who are disabled or dependent on home health care programs. This role is crucial in supporting caregivers and enhancing the quality of life for clients in the Fall River area. The Homemaker will assist with various tasks, including grocery shopping, meal preparation, cleaning, and companionship, while adhering to care plans developed by registered nurses.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with household services according to care plans developed by Registered Nurses.
  • Purchase groceries and other household supplies for clients.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Prepare meals and assist with dietary needs.
  • Clean and maintain the client's living environment, including vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping.
  • Wash dishes and do laundry, including ironing.
  • Observe and report any physical, mental, or behavioral changes in clients to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities for each participant.
  • Utilize the Skedulo mobile app for client assignments and documentation.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid state driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • Current CPR Certification (can be provided if not already certified).
  • Previous experience in direct care of elders or adults with disabilities preferred.
  • Ability to pass a background check, TB test, and physical exam.
  • Must maintain a working smartphone with cellular data access.
