About the position

As a flight attendant for Horizon Air, you will be responsible for creating memorable inflight experiences while prioritizing safety. This role requires a flexible schedule and a commitment to high standards of service, as you will be the face of the airline, representing Alaska Airlines. You will engage with passengers, assist with their needs, and ensure compliance with safety regulations during flights.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and comply with all safety regulations
  • Ensure all safety equipment on aircraft is in working order
  • Greet passengers and assist with seating assignments and carry-on baggage stowage
  • Explain and demonstrate the use of safety equipment and emergency procedures
  • Prepare and serve meals and beverages, including alcohol
  • Market onboard products and process sales using a mobile device
  • Calmly resolve passenger situations during flight, including medical emergencies
  • Answer questions regarding flight operations and offer destination information
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of customer or community service experience
  • Uncompromising dedication to safety
  • Ability to meet specific aircraft dimensions for body size
  • Ability to meet grooming, uniform, and appearance standards
  • Demonstrated physical ability to perform the duties of a flight attendant
  • Willingness to serve alcohol
  • Basic computer literacy and comfort with technology
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively
  • Adaptability to perform a variety of duties and perform effectively under stress
  • Ability to attend 4 weeks of paid training in Portland, OR
  • Possess and/or obtain a current passport with unlimited access in and out of the United States
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum age of 21 years old
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
