About the position
As a flight attendant for Horizon Air, you will be responsible for creating memorable inflight experiences while prioritizing safety. This role requires a flexible schedule and a commitment to high standards of service, representing Alaska Airlines and ensuring passenger comfort and safety during regional flights throughout the West.
Responsibilities
- Understand and comply with all safety regulations
- Ensure all safety equipment on aircraft is in working order
- Greet passengers and assist with seating assignments and carry-on baggage stowage
- Explain and demonstrate the use of safety equipment and emergency procedures
- Prepare and serve meals and beverages, including alcohol
- Market onboard products and process sales using a mobile device
- Calmly resolve passenger situations during flight, including medical emergencies
- Answer questions regarding flight operations and offer destination information
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of customer or community service experience
- Uncompromising dedication to safety
- Ability to meet specific body size requirements for aircraft
- Ability to meet grooming, uniform, and appearance standards
- Demonstrated physical ability to perform flight attendant duties
- Willingness to relocate to any of the flight attendant bases
- Willingness to serve alcohol
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with technology
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively
- Adaptability to perform a variety of duties under stress
- Ability to attend 4 weeks of paid training in Portland, OR
- Possess and/or obtain a current passport with unlimited access in and out of the United States
- Ability to communicate in English
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum age of 21 years old
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
