About the position

LinQuest is seeking a journeyman-level software engineer to support the integration of multiple USAF open architecture standards. This role involves prototyping, assessing feasibility, and coordinating experiments to inform decision-making in horizontal integration efforts. The engineer will also act as the technical owner of the Air Dominance Government Reference Architecture Starter Kit and provide technical leadership within an industry consortium.

Responsibilities

• Prototype and assess feasibility of horizontal integration efforts across open reference architectures
• Coordinate experiments, assure complimentary lines of effort, and produce final leadership-level outbriefs of experimentation results to inform horizontal integration decision making
• Break up scope of broad cross-cutting activities into prototype-based work to reduce risk and identify opportunities across open architectures and standards
• Act as the technical owner of the Air Dominance Government Reference Architecture (GRA) Starter Kit which includes: MBSE model, documentation, and reference software
• Perform technical leadership of an industry consortium as a CLIN lead

Requirements

• BS in a technical field (Prefer computer science or electrical engineering)
• 3+ years in software development
• Experience with C++ development in a Linux environment
• Experience with MBSE and DevSecOps toolflows and design activities
• Experience with modern commercial software development practices using tools like GitLab, Jira, Artifactory, and Nexus
• Experience with collaborative software development in either open source or professional team environments.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years in software development in a classified working environment
• Government acquisition program experience
• Familiarity with modern software development tools, languages, and practices
• Familiarity with existing DoD open architectures, such as OMS
