About the position

Everything Grows has been bringing nature indoors for commercial customers in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area since 1994. We offer a full range of indoor plant care services including maintenance, sales, and design. We are seeking an indoor tropical plant care technician who is passionate about plant care and customer service to cover our route in the San Mateo area. In this role, you will regularly care for beautiful and exotic tropical plants for our valued commercial customers. Your responsibilities will include driving to each account where you will water, trim, clean, and dust indoor office plants at assigned locations on a regular basis. You will also monitor plant health and appearance, and replace plants when needed. A good candidate for this job will possess traits such as being responsible and reliable, having good communication skills, a positive, can-do attitude, and being detail-oriented with the ability to follow directions. You should be able to work independently or with a crew, and have a minimum of one year of plant care experience, whether as an employee, student, or volunteer. Knowledge of plants, possibly through horticulture school or experience, is also desired. You must be able to make a one-year minimum commitment, be able-bodied and capable of lifting 40 lbs, and be proficient in using apps, sending and receiving texts, photos, and emails.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • One year of plant care experience as an employee, student, or volunteer.
  • Knowledge of plants, preferably through horticulture school or experience.
  • Able-bodied and capable of lifting 40 lbs.
  • Valid CA driver's license.
  • Ability to pass a background/drug and DMV check.
  • Reliable, insured car.
  • Smartphone proficiency for communication.
